Travelers who fly with Emirates airline Airbus A380, received preferential
treatment at the Dubai International Airport, UAE. There is a special platform for superjumbo aircraft with the well facilities.
Platform specific superjumbo is called Concourse A. Celebrate the inaugural flight inaugural Airbus A380 Emirates airline at London Heathrow Airport.
"Flight EK003 heading from London Heathrow Airport Concourse A, the place is home to Emirates A380," said the airline.
Besides being used Airlines Emirates, a new facility for the A380 will be available for flights to Europe by Qantas.
"Just waiting for approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer
Commission," the airline added.
In 2012, Dubai
International Airport has
served 57 million passengers. This achievement was crowned as the busiest
airport in the Middle East and the fourth in the world. Later, after Concourse A fully
operational, the airport's
capacity is expected to increase to 60-75 million
passengers.
Actually, Concourse A is not a special
terminal for the superjumbo. Concourse A is part of the expansion of Dubai
International Airport
Terminal 3.
Concourse A
consists of 11 floors, with a total land area of 528,000 square meters. There
are about 20 special gate Airbus A380, but for now the new 4 gate is operating, and the rest will be opened gradually.
"Concourse A will be opened in stages for smooth operations," said Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths.
Dubai International Airport is the main
airport in the city is Dubai. This airport is home to Emirates Airline, the largest airline in the Middle East.
