Best Airport in the World 2012

After bearing the same title in 2009, the Incheon Airport in South Korea again won the position of the world's best airport in 2012. The survey was conducted by the research firm Skytrax airline.

Incheon Airport returned victorious with the position bearing the world's best airport in 2012. The award was conducted by Skytrax, the airline research firm based in the United Kingdom. The survey was conducted to 12 million passengers who come from 100 different nationalities, a period of nine months.

Incheon Airport into the top five ranking of eight categories that determine the assessment. In total there are 10 categories that determine these ratings, including accessibility, convenience, speed of transit aircraft, friendliness of staff, and facilities such as shopping stores.

Regardless of the position of Incheon Airport as the best airport in 2012, some airports in Asia is also dominated the top 10 survey.

"In addition to infrastructure and more modern facilities, services some airports in Asia are at a higher level of quality and provide consistent service," said Edward Plaisted as Director of Skytrax.
Sementra, the Changi Airport in Singapore in second place and Hong Kong International Airport holds the third position. Heathrow Airport in London, one of the busiest in the world, could be judged negatively because of delays and long queues at the doors of immigration that occurred recently. But, Heathrow Airport is also a good news-related facilities.

Terminal 5 which was in the airport won the Best Airport Terminal position, while Heathrow Airport itself won the best shopping. Other airports in the London Stansted won the category of budget airlines. Delhi International Airport in India was mentioned is the most renovated. One of them with a modern terminal building that has been in operation since 2010.

The Regal Airport Hotel in Hong Kong holds the position of World's Best Airport Hotel, followed by Sofitel at Heathrow Airport and the Crowne Plaza at Changi International Airport.
