Most Unique Christmas Traditions in the World

ONE of the most interesting things about travel is seeing the local customs. Especially for Christmas, there are some weird but wonderful ritual in the world. Here are some of them.

1. Krampus in Austria and Germany 

In contrast to the benevolent Santa Claus, Krampus is a creature who would punish the children at Christmas Day. In Bavaria, people would dress up as the Krampus and cause chaos on December 5. If you meet with one of Krampus, be sure to offer him a snack schnapps.

2. CagA Tio and Caganer, Spanish Catalonia 

CagA Tio is a hunk of wood with a face drawn. During two weeks in early December, timber is filled with a variety of snacks such as cakes and sweets. 5. Black Pit, The Netherlands
